"Abby and the King"

---------------------------
Title: Abby and the King.

For Primeval100’s challenge of “Abby”.
Fandom: Primeval,
Rating: PG
Spoilers: none.
Short Summary: While on assignment, Abby finds royalty.

Author’s note: Also from my Tewkesbury fic.
(134 words)
Disclaimer: I own none of the characters
---------------------------

Here in the janitor’s closet beneath the Baptist Church in the center of Tewkesbury, Abby shone her torch around the room, illuminating glimpses of skeletons, notebooks, survival gear that was threadbare, and a number of hand-sewn clothes made from vellum and other materials you could get from animal skins. “Fashion’s no object,” she said under her breath.

That was when she saw the note…a note tied by a kite string was a skull she didn’t recognize – belonging to no known genus or family, it nonetheless bore a suite of features not seen in a single animal since the Permian.

“That is mine,” said a man’s voice behind her. “I own it.”

“Who’re you?” standing perfectly still.

“Richard of Shrewsbury, duke of York. As my brother is dead, I am your rightful King.”

Makes much more sense now I read the first drabble! Intriguing, very intriguing. Has she slipped through an anomaly without noticing?

Interesting indeed. Now I'm wondering if i was wrong in my assuption about the first fic, and that Abby's dissaperance is related to this, rather than the previous 'Abby missing' drabble. And since both of these are related to your Tewkesbury fic, I'm guessing it's these latest two which are related.

Looking forward to this Tewkesbury fic now, it sounds intriguing.
