A/N: Hmm, not sure but wanted to post this, It started on the prompt but sort of went of at a tangent, hope that doesn't matter too much.
 

 

  

I’m sorry.

 

Two little words, said all the time, often without thought, but still with meaning. Unfortunately words cannot change events. They can make amends, they are courteous, but they cannot bring someone back. They don’t make him feel better even though it wasn’t really his fault. They do not stop the ‘If only...’ scenarios constantly running through his mind. ‘If only I had listened to her.’ ‘If only I had stayed behind.’ So many things left unsaid, so much happiness, lost.

 

No words will ever bring Claudia Brown back, but three words could have redeemed him.
