“I love it when you read to her,” his wife whispered and he turned to see her standing in the door.
He smiled, put the book on the nightstand and covered his daughter with the blanket. He finished the every night ritual by kissing her on the forehead.
“I love it, too,” Nick said and walked over to his wife.
“Let’s go to bed, “Claudia said and took Nick’s hand.
Together they walked out of the room and he closed the door in silence.
