Sorry I couldn't make it to the family picnic, Sweetie. Duty calls!. I've arranged for some company for you though.

Lester could just imagine how sorry he was, he had a mental image of Lyle doing a happy dance after receiving his assignment.
Neither of them had been looking forward to this particular event and try as he might Lester hadn't come up with anything convincing enough to miss it.
Curious about the company, he headed to the car.
He laughed, finding that blasted toy dinosaur strapped in on the passenger side.
