Authors Notes: It's been a while since I've done one of these but as it's the first challenge for the year I thought I'd give it a go.


Lester gently tilted Becker's head, inspecting the latest bruise.

"Any more?"

"Yes."

"Show me."

With fond exasperation, Becker carefully removed his jacket. There was a nasty scrape across his left bicep leading under a stark white dressing. Bruises painted the skin either side.

James catalogued each one. "Turn around."

More bruises across his back and side from when he was knocked down.

This time it was Lester's turn to sigh. His lover was always getting hurt in the line of duty. Lester wouldn't, couldn't ask him to stop though. "What am I going to do with you?"

"Kiss them better?"
