We still think of a powerful man as a born leader and a powerful woman as an anomaly.
Christine had worked hard to get to where she was. She'd played the games. Attended all the right functions. Brown nosed with all the right people. And bribery was a dirty word, but she'd done that too.
So why had James Lester got the ARC?
It should have been hers. But yet again she'd been overlooked. Another man who'd come out on top just because he was a man.
But Christine wasn't out of the game yet.
The ARC would be hers.
