Clearing the Table

Nick Cutter didn't often socialise with his colleagues, but some events, like the end of term snooker match, were impossible to avoid. At least the bar prices were reasonable, and he could lean back and admire Stephen's tight faded jeans hugging the curves of his arse as he bent over the table to line up a particularly tricky shot.

He suspected that Helen had deliberately left the black hugging the rear cushion and the cue ball tucked up on the yellow spot in order to achieve that outcome.

He smiled and passed Stephen the spider-rest. "Try using this," he said.
