Stephen had said all he could, now it was up to Lester.

He knelt, head bowed. All his concentration on keeping his breath steady.

Stephen didn't think he had ever been this scared. All the creatures he'd faced, the dangerous and life threatening situations seemed to pale compared to this moment.

If Lester wasn't willing to help him, he wasn't sure what he would do next, what he could do.

Hart knew he was out of control, damaged and needed to change and that he couldn't do it alone.

He didn't just need help, guidance, discipline. He needed James Lester.
