He tears the photograph in two, and two again,and lets the pieces flutter from his fingers into the wind. The picture is gone, and so is Claudia. Just like Stephen. Erased from existance, forever.

Jenny's standing there in her dark suit. "Coming?"

He has to give in, give up, give way. He can't cling to the past any more, or it will drag him down with it.

So he nods, and follows Jenny.

"Why didn't you tell me about her?" she asks.

"I tried," he says. "Months ago. Remember?"

"Try again. This time, I'll listen."
