Title: Fond
Word Count: (100)
Rating: G
Challenge: #228 - The Menagerie
Characters/Pairing: James Lester
Highly strung, dangerous, devious, somewhat endearing (not that Lester would ever admit it) difficult, overly intelligent and easily excitable were just some of the traits of the ARC's inhabitants.
Lester's job would never be considered boring, even if sometimes he would rather it was.
And then there were the creatures.
Getting attached was never part of the plan. But Lester dared anyone not to get at least a little fond of a mammoth (or person) that saved their lives.
In fact he decided it was to his credit that he could accept that fondness and still do his job admirably.
