Side note from the author:  OK, I have chosen a title for the series.  Thanks to those of you that gave me suggestions.  I'm going with Master of My Fate; Captain of My Destiny.  A fic by that name will be out later this summer. 

Don’t Leave Me (Connor)

Connor smiled at Ryan as he fed Connor pizza, the steady beeping his ever-present companion in this paradise. 

“He’s still me, you know,” Ryan said quietly.

“He’s not.  He doesn’t love me.”

“There is no world where Tom Ryan doesn’t love Connor Temple.  Give him time.”

“I don’t want to go back.”

“It’s time, love.  Be patient with him.  He’ll figure it out.”

“Don’t leave me.”

“I’m right here.  Always have been and always will be.”

Connor felt a tear slip down his cheek as the beeping grew louder and pain lanced through his body.  Ryan’s face slowly drifted away.

Ryan paced the hospital room. 

Why was he so worried about this damn slave?  Previously, he would have just ended the boy himself.  A slave was a slave, not worth the effort or financial loss. 

But when he looked at Connor, vulnerable and weak, unconscious and helpless, Ryan couldn’t bring himself to kill him.  He’d done the opposite; he’d used all the resources he could to save him. 

“Don’t you dare leave me!” he growled into Connor’s ear.  “I need more time.  I have figure out why I care, and I can’t do that if I loose you.  Wake up!”

Well, the big story is actually mostly background of how Connor came to be in this position and his first days/weeks as a slave. So of it is quite brutal, but I do hope you all like it. I'm trying to explain the world that I created a bit more. So, this fic that's due out later this summer is just one of what may end up being several stories.

Well, how much fun do you think it would be to *become* a slave? So yes, it's a bit rough for him. :-( Poor guy. Ryan is a very good trainer. He's fair, but he's also quite thorough. :-)

Soon, but probably not until I get back from Alaska. So, not until AFTER June 16th at the earliest.
