Challenge: 293 Picture Prompt
Connor looks sceptically at Abby when she says her grandparents own a Restoration manor.
But they do – Pemberley made real.
And when Connor arrives for Christmas he thinks all of his have come at once.
Two enormous Yuletide trees – one a rich bronze, the other winking with lights.
Plus, Ethelred and Annabelle, the grandparents –warm, welcoming people.
It’s all rather perfect.
Except that on Christmas Eve, he and Abby get very drunk and somewhat horny and……….well, you know…….
Connor awakes to crushed leaves, awry angels, slipshod Santas – two toppled trees.
Oh dear……….
Perhaps they can say the corgi did it………
