A Great Stink
Title: A Great Stink
Characters: Emily, Nick, Becker, Abby and Connor.

Challenge: 311 - In The Sewers
What explodes forth from the giant, arthropod creature, when Becker shoots it, is slimey, sallow-yellow and reeking.
Connor turns ashen.
Abby firmly clutches her nose.
Becker’s hair seems overwrought.
Even intrepid Professor Cutter looks rather queasy for a moment.
Yet Emily strides straight up, totally undaunted.
Prodding at the noxious guts with the toe of her boot.
Nick grins, bemused.
“Have you no sense of smell Em? Not a wee sniff?”
Emily smiles complacently and twinkles.
“Two things you’re forgetting Professor. I’ve survived the Great Stink of 1858 - London’s sewers overflowing. And the other………..I live with Matt’s dirty socks.”
