Title: Us or Them
Word Count: (100)
Rating: G
Challenge: #97 Extinction
Characters/Pairing : James Lester
Warnings: None

Most people when confronted with the extinction of a species, feel a sense of loss and sorrow. They also never ended up in a position to be confronted by a species already extinct and in Lester's opinion rightly so. He didn't fully tune out Professor Cutter's excited babble over the dinosaur of the day and understood the fascination, but was practical enough not to get too involved. Couldn't very well say "Let the cute and fluffy dinosaurs through and we'll all live in harmony but shoot all the ones with big teeth." Shame, he'd gotten rather fond of the Mammoth.

well of course you can't say let the cute and fluffy dinosaurs through - the predatory dinosaurs had feathers! (at least down feathers like baby birds)

excellent drabble.

hide hte mammoth in your basement, Lester; nobody'll notice. :)

Awwwww, yes Lester has a soft spot for the mammoth. Maybe they can keep the prehistoric animals that save the lives of any of the team :D

I think Lester's family have had a narrow escape - they could have been landed with a rather large pet! *g* Nice drabble.

Of course the Mammoth is safe, it doesn't have sharp pointed teeth. (they are tusks, Lester didn't say anything about tusks)
