Three fics to start off in response to the new challenge. I just had so many delicious ideas I didn't know which to write first! :D
Title: It's a Tricky Thing
Author:
tseecka
Rating: 16+
Prompt: 113: Keeping Cool
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairing: Nick/Stephen
Spoilers: Sort of spoilers for S2
Nick just wants to slam him against the wall. The sight of that face is enough to drive him wild; he's so irrationally angry at the betrayal, so unbelievably impassioned by those eyes--
Should stop, thinking only hurts more.
Friends, and lovers--or maybe something strange and inbetween, and its all gone now, lost because of words that can't be unsaid. He regrets every word, but can't take them back.
He's filled with anger and passion in equal amounts; wants to beat his face in, and beat off in his face; and it is getting so, so hard to keep his cool.
Title: With You
Author:

Rating: PG
Prompt: 113: Keeping Cool
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairing: Nick/Stephen
Spoilers: S01E02
The washcloth is damp, but warm, on his forehead, and that's what wakes him. Bleary eyes fight to open; the light hurts too much. His body aches, his head throbs, and his skin feels like it's on fire.
"What...?" he manages to choke out; it feels like the words are scalding his raw throat. The washcloth recedes; he hears water; then gloriously cool dampness on his skin. A straw slides past his parched lips, and he sucks greedily, the water soothing his burning throat.
"It's all right, Stephen," he hears Nick's voice say, cutting through the feverish haze. "I'm here."
Title: Kerfuffle
Author:
tseecka
Rating: PG
Prompt: 113: Keeping Cool
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairing: Stephen/Abby, actually
Spoilers: None, really
Abby fans herself with a magazine as she lounges about the super-heated flat, scanning the room for some way to bring down her own temperature. Her eyes lock on the fridge helplessly. There's nothing to drink in there. Nothing but a bag of oranges, some lettuce, and 3 day old Chinese.
A dull thud at the back of her head, and a splash of water suddenly soaks a long line from her neck to her ass. Stephen stands in the doorway, a second water balloon in hand.
"Thought you could use a hand with this heat," he suggests, grinning disarmingly.

Date: 2009-07-01 07:35 am (UTC)Nurse!Nick is just so damn cute in my head. (Also, I want an excuse to get him into a nurse's uniform for later...lol)
You know, usually I get pretty defensive of my 'ships, but Abby/Stephen is one I don't mind all that much (in small doses). I just really like the mental image of Stephen + water balloon. Maybe in that flimsy white shirt he's always wearing...:P
Thanks for the awesome comments!

Date: 2009-07-01 03:22 pm (UTC)I like to think that he'd stay right there the entire time. It just seems like a very Nick thing to do.
