Title: Savior o’ her.
For Primeval100’s challenge of “Humility”
Fandom: Primeval,
Rating: PG
Spoilers: none.
91 words.
Short Summary: Helen’s POV when Claudia questions her in ep6.
Author’s note: The scene they didn’t show you in the finale.
“his Christian name” just means “his personal name”; I assume they still talk that way in the civil service and in Uni.
Disclaimer: I own none of the characters
-------------------------------
“Thank you, by the way,” Brown tells me.
“You’re welcome,” I say, again. The woman’s obsessing over my rescuing her – guilt, permaybehaps?
“When I mentioned it to Nick,” again using his Christian name, I see, “he wasn’t surprised.”
Good.
“By the way, why did you save my life?”
“Because,” I tell her.
She looks at her toes before saying this, “Is this – the whole Enigmatic Helen thing – to prevent a paradox?”
“No.” You see, I can do humility.
Even if you’re going to be a heartless bitch and steal my husband.

The End
(what? No, she’s not bitter)
