Title: Replacement
Word Count: (100)
Rating: 12
Challenge: #130: Things That Go Bump In The Night
Characters/Pairing: James Lester/Tom Ryan
Warnings: None
Thunder woke Lester.
The fact he was alone was what stopped him going back to sleep.
James attempted to switch the light on. No response. Concerned, he climbed out of bed and headed downstairs.
Near the kitchen, he encountered a darker shape.
"What's wrong?"
Ryan made a surprised noise. "God, don't do that!"
"I actually snuck up on you?"
Tom grumbled.
"What are you doing?"
"I heard something."
"Probably the mouse."
"Mouse?"
"He must have decided I was lonely while you were away."
"Considering replacing me?"
"Convince me not to."
