Title: She's not Tom Sawyer.
Challenge: “Helen” at Primeval100.
Rating: PG
Pairings: none.
Characters: Helen, Nick
Spoilers: ep1.03
Word Count: 100.
Disclaimer: I own none of the characters.
Short Summary: Tom Sawyer was a construct, fictional. Helen Cutter is real, and didn't do the childish thing her Twain-adoring husband accuses.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He got her message, Helen observes, yet he doesn't want to talk about much - he thinks this is all some game to her, a grand sport. And then he has the nerve, the verve, the stomach to ask if she watched him grieve. Did you attend your own funeral?
You don't get it, thinks the woman who's been hunted by wild beasts for twelve years - eight by Nick's clock - and struggling to stay alive.
I'm no Tom Sawyer, Nick, Helen thinks. I'm completely serious, and doesn't know why she indulges him by answering "No, was it nice?"
