When Nick Cutter was a teenager, he never thought much about death. He was young, he thought all doors stood open for him. And he wanted to enter through all of them.
His grandparents died when he had just entered college. This was the first time when he experienced real loss. And it almost tore him apart. He never wanted to feel like that again.
He loved Helen deeply, and would have never thought that she would betray him in every way he could think of.
And he would’ve never thought that this love would kill him in the end.
