The creature had to be in the warehouse. There was a shot and Stephen yelled, “Alright!”
Later, they all wanted to hear what happened, so Stephen started, “I almost didn’t see it coming but I then heard its breathing. It came right at me, snarling. I let myself fall down and shot it in the head. Blood and other juices splashing on me. This thing was huge. You can see it in the autopsy, what’s left of it anyway.”
There was a silence and then Connor said, “Man, don’t ever tell your kids any stories. They’d get scarred for life.”
