Title: Unexpected
Character(s): Nick Cutter, Helen Cutter, James Lester
Warnings: None
Rating: G
Category: Het, (Pre-)Slash
Challenge: 168 - Head Over Heels
Spoilers: None
Author's Notes: Was bored, decided to actually write another drabble for P100.
Disclaimer: Not mine, never mine, playing only!
Summary: In which... drabbles are too short to deserve summaries.
Nick Cutter had never been someone to do things only halfway. He had always been passionate, impulsive, prone to switching from one extreme to another. The first time he met Helen, he had been thoroughly annoyed by her - not only had she got the better of him in a debate, she'd managed to impress their notoriously student-hating professor, too. Two weeks, and any number of heated debates and discussions later, they'd gone on their first date.
So Nick shouldn't have been terribly surprised to find himself, years later, falling head over heels for the irritable and infuriating James Lester.

Date: 2010-07-23 06:41 am (UTC)Oh, Nick! He sure does know how to pick 'em, doesn't he? And I love the idea of Nick having fallen for Helen after she kicked his donkey in a debate.
