Summary: The problem with anomalies is that they come at the most inconvenient times...



He's late. Again. She checks her mobile and sighs. Crosses her legs, jiggles one pedicured foot. Several minutes pass and a waiter stops by, asks quietly if she would like anything. She says no, then changes her mind and asks for water.

Her mobile vibrates, but its just her sister sending another annoying chain-text. The water comes and she sits there, sipping it.

The minutes tick by - 5, 10, 15. The phone vibrates once more and she answers it.

"Where are you?"

"Damn it, James, we had reservations!"

The waiter comes by again. This time she orders wine.
