“This is the only room left.”

Ryan shrugged. “Fine. I’m sure it’ll do.”

The receptionist handed him the keys with a disapproving glance.

Ryan glanced at the mirror in the lift. Was his gun was showing? No, so why the look on the woman’s face?

The room was small, uninspiring and mainly orange but it was clear of anything hostile.

The car should be fixed by tomorrow so at least it wouldn’t be for long.

Sir James Lester looked round with growing irritation.

Captain Ryan hadn’t seen fit to mention one small but important fact.  There was only one bed.
