Title: Stargazing
Character(s): James Lester, OC
Author:
canadian_jay
Rating: G
Challenge: 193
Spoilers: None
Author's Notes: This prompt = not quite as easy to write for, if I'm to keep with my little story here. *g* Also, sequel/prequel to Flesh and Blood and Honey, I'm Home!.
Disclaimer: Not mine, never mine, don't sue. Except Seth. He's mine.
Summary: Stargazing isn't something James Lester does very often...
Sometimes Lester forgets that there are such things as stars. He has lived in London for so long that he is more used to the always present lights, to the night sky being a dark haze. But on the rare occasion that he does see stars, there is one memory that always replays through his mind.
A young boy, barely 3 years old, his first night outside the city.
A shining sliver of moon, the stars gleaming brightly in the shockingly clear sky.
Seth's little voice crying out, filled with awe and delight: 'Daddy, Daddy, there's lights in the sky!'
