Challenge 204: Confession
Title: Worth It
Word Count: (100)
Rating: PG
Challenge: #204: Confession
Characters/Pairing: James Lester/Captain Becker pre-slash
Warnings: Angsty, but I promise no one was permanently harmed.
The plot to 'permanently' remove Lester from the ARC project was almost discovered too late.
Becker had only begun to shadow his boss, then suddenly he was tackling him to the ground, the force increased by the bullet that tore through his upper chest.
Shouting, pain, James Lester leaning over him and applying, a desperate look on his face.
"Sir, are you safe?"
"What? Yes, they got him."
"Good." Becker closed his eyes.
"Don't you dare! I'm not losing another member of my team, I'm not losing you."
"Worth it."
Lester swore.
"Your job isn't worth dying for."
"You are."

I know he'll be okay, and I'm sure Lester will look after him and be very grateful *g*
