“I think you should move out,”
Stephen froze at those words; his blood ran cold at the expression on Nick’s face.
He meant it.
Stephen, knew that things wouldn’t stay the same after Helen’s revelation that they had had an affair. He’d expected disappointment, yes; even anger, however, he had not expected this.
Stephen opened his mouth to explain, to try and convince Nick that he was sorry, but the words failed to come as he looked into Nick’s eyes. The love they normally held had been replaced with ice cold.
This was not how it was meant to end.
