"So I hear you're getting married."

Stephen shrugged. It's none of Ryan's business anymore.

"Stephen..." Ryan paused. "I know I don't have any right..."

"You don't," Stephen sighed. "What do you want Tom? I'm getting married in less than a month..."

"Do you love her?"

"Yes," Stephen replied without hesitation.

Ryan ducked his head, nodding slowly. "Okay... I... good luck... I... I hope you're happy, really I..."

Stephen watched him turn away, this man he'd once thought...

"Not as much as..." he spoke, almost before thinking about it.

Ryan spun back around, eyes daring to look hopeful.

"...you." Stephen finished.
