OLIGOCENE:

The lighthouse had been constructed by those few lucky or unlucky enough to survive and escape captivity. It’s intended use was both to warn of an attack, and as a place to launch one against Leek.

Taylor was selected to remain behind and wait at the lighthouse…

“You’ll do well,” Christine had told her.

“No wild parties while we’re gone, please,” Lester had asked of her.

“We’ll be back,” Nick promised Taylor while Becker saluted her.

And then an earlier Cutter let the future predators kill Leek…

…and Taylor’s history vanished.

…and she remained in the ancient past, on duty and vigilant.

…and nobody knew to relieve her.
