Stephen wondered who got the kisses that were no longer given to him. Was it Connor who Nick kissed now, snatching them from that clever mouth while no one was looking? Nick's lips crushed against Connor's, needing and wanting, where once they had wanted his?

Maybe it was Abby. Pretty, pert Abby, who Nick was kissing now. Soft and sweet as fresh ice cream, but warm instead of cold.

Or was it Jenny's bright, bold lips that took the place of his?

It didn't really matter, in the end. Because Nick wasn't kissing him anymore.

What, and you an old Angst-Hound? For shame!:-) I think that's why I spend so much time writing fics set in S2 - built-in angst. Tho' with your primary pairing being Stephen/Ryan I can understand why you tend to avoid it.
