Stephen had not expected the turns that his life had taken.

He had not seen Helen coming. She was intelligent, sexy, married and very definitely his Professor. She seduced him. Then she disappeared. He didn’t see that coming either.

The dinosaurs and Helen’s return turned his life upside down again. The same thing happened when she dropped her little bombshell after the Permian mission.

But he really didn’t see this coming.

Stephen backed away from the door, his gaze locked with Nick’s. He didn’t want to see the predators coming this time.

He’d give his life for Nick, even unexpectedly.
