Lester’s in-tray had seen it all. In his capacity as back-scene fixer for Her Majesty’s government he had dealt with drugs, sexual fetishes and misbehaviour and a paedophile Chinese diplomat. Some situations had needed the proverbial hatchet, others a pointed memo and one, memorable scenario required half of the Kings Troop Royal Artillery. And now this report on his desk from a Claudia Brown indicated that she had already called out the SAS. Prematurely in his opinion.

He turned to the second page. Dinosaurs. Lester frowned. He did not like to be surprised. This would not end well.
