It’s waiting in Becker’s locker after a long, anomaly- battling day.
A heart-shaped cupcake and a sign.
“For sale - One heart………for a handsome soldier who looks beautiful in black…………..?”
Thoughtfully Becker chews his lip………
That night Jess doesn’t sleep a wink.
The next morning she beats the cleaners to work.
On her desk – a single strawberry centre and a sticky-note.
It reads: “Sold.”
