"As soon as I can move again, I'm gonna clean up," Abby announced and looked at the pile of leftovers of their big Christmas meal; food, cutlery, plates and glasses on the table.
Slowly, Connor emerged from behind the back of the couch.
"Give me five minutes… Okay, maybe fifteen, tops," he added and fell back into the cushions.
Abby smiled. "It's so sweet of you, offering your help."
"Help?" Connor's head popped up again. "Who said anything about helping to clean up? I meant finishing the food."
Abby only sighed, rolled her eyes and slumped back on the chair.
