Sarah’s job wasn’t so glamorous.

Despite her love of historical research, most of her work at the British Museum was quite dull and mundane. Any time they received a new artifact, Sarah was lucky if she got five minutes alone to study the object.

The majority of her time was relegated to giving tours to fidgety school children. Most of them were too busy wandering off or teasing each other to pay attention.

All except for a girl no more than eight years old, eyes wide with wonder as Sarah retold myths of Ammut.

Sometimes her job wasn’t so bad.
