3 drabbles for #303

Character: Caroline
Rating: PG

Caroline got into her car and was able to breathe a sigh of relief. They hadn’t seen her.

She drove away and parked outside a shopping centre, acting like a normal young woman, browsing shoes and flicking through CDs. She lost herself in the crowd and when she felt that she was safe, she found a secluded table in the food court.

She pulled out her digital camera, and started flicking through the images. She had clear shots of both Leek and the woman he was talking to.

She liked Connor. Hopefully he would know what to do with them.

Characters: Jenny, Lorraine
Rating: PG (maybe M for one swear)

Jenny swore, loudly.

“Oh dear, what now?” asked Lorraine

“It’s the Daily Mail. They’ve managed to get hold of a picture from someone’s mobile phone. I thought Ryan had confiscated all the phones?”

“He must have missed one. Is the picture too damaging?”

“A stegosaurus munching on a rosebush in all its crystal clear, digital glory.”

“Bugger.”

“Quite. D notices it is then.”

“Have I mention how much I hate smart phones?”

“Not as much as I do.”

Jenny turned back to her computer, muttering angrily as she typed. Lorraine slipped out. This was going to require industrial strength tea.

Character: Nick
Rating: PG

Nick slumped down on what was apparently his couch, in a building that he was told was his own house. Whatever had happened in the Forest of Dean, it was scaring him. The ARC has popped out of nowhere. Not that having a dedicated research facility for the anomalies was a bad thing, but it shouldn’t come out of thin air.

No one recognized Claudia. She walked in, calling herself Jenny Lewis, with heavy makeup, spike heels and a posh dress, and no one but him recognized her.

He pulled the small snapshot out of his wallet. He had evidence.

"This was going to require industrial strength tea."

That's a great line and these are great drabbles

I like all three of them but I especially like the third one. That image of Nick with Claudia's picture is so poignant.

Nice job on all three!

Good on Caroline for trying to help Connor in the first one.

Poor Jenny. I have a feeling she will need a lot of tea to deal with the aftermath.

Great look at Nick. I could definitely see him feeling lost and disoriented after the timeline shift.

Great drabbles.

Yay for Caroline wanting to help Connor.

*nods* Tea solves everything.

Love Nick's thoughts on the change.
